The Goal of Meditation Is to Become Meditation

In a non-dualistic worldview, things are not linear but circular, spherical,
they are not Cartesian but non-Euclidean, recursively infinite.
- Cedric Mabilotte

Thus, there is no need to reject our "Western-style" teachings, but rather to open ourselves to a broader, more complex world that surrounds and completes what we already are. It means accepting that there exists a version of ourselves not yet realized—a Self in the making that dwells within our unknowing.

Walking the Path Is the Destination

In Freechi, I recommend following the cycle of 4 phases to maintain a balanced progression.

Zhuangzi (庄子), 4th century BCE – “The Great Learning” (大宗师, Dà Zōng Shī): "The wise person learns through observation, refines mastery through practice, detaches through meditation, and acts effortlessly within the natural order."

  • Study → Observe nature and study the teachings. (Dharma)
  • Practice → Engage body and mind in spiritual discipline through breathing and energetic movement exercises. (Freechi)
  • Meditation → Enter a state of inner harmony and follow the path of meditative transformation.
  • Integration → Let the Dao guide our dynamic action without forcing (Wu Wei).
